Apple today added an updated engraving option to the AirPods charging box, giving customers who buy “AirPods” the option to carve emojis on their devices. AirPods have always been able to be sculpted, but engraving is limited to text and there is no option to add emoji characters. When a customer visits one of the AirPods product pages, Apple highlights the engraving option on their main site. Customers who choose personalized AirPods during the purchase process can choose from several emoji characters, although not all emojis are available. Choose from a variety of animals like smiley face, tongue-opened face and thumbs up. There are ghosts, unicorns, bears, skulls, dragons, poops, snakes, etc., including the Chinese Zodiac. Customers can choose text or emojis, but not both, because emojis are done in a larger style. Apple has also increased its size by adjusting the text that can be added to the AirPods. Custom options with emojis are available for all AirPods models and for each order’s charging case.
