Apple will begin mass production on the rumored low-cost iPhone in February. The new iPhone is likely to be released in March, after production begins. Rumor has it that the new iPhone will be designed to be similar to the iPhone 8, with a 4.7-inch LCD display with a thick upper and lower frame, touch ID home button (instead of Face ID) and a single-lens rear camera, but will come with a modern A13 chip and 3GB of RAM.

The iPhone will be Apple’s first truly low-cost iPhone since the iPhone SE, and although rumors are that it won’t be as small as the original iPhone, some have been called the “iPhone SE 2.” SE. There has been speculation that Apple could call it the “iPhone 9”, a number that was skipped when it launched the iPhone X in 2017, but its name is not yet known.

With the original iPhone SE priced at $399 and it’s also positioned as a more affordable iPhone option, the new low-cost device could be sold for the same $399, making it Apple’s most affordable iPhone. The iPhone 8 is the lowest-priced iPhone at the dollar, with Apple costing $449.The low-cost iPhone will be Apple’s first in 2020 and will release more models in the fall of 2020, with high-end all-glass designs such as the current flagship iPhone, 5G technology and rear 3D cameras.
