The galaxy Z Flip’s external display is largely limited to notification and display times, and although you can take selfies using the panel, the space is too narrow to pull it out precisely during composition. Sliding up on the left side of the display automatically expands the phone, so you don’t have to worry about showing the larger display with both hands. It’s hard to tell from the video, but it looks like you’re just gently pressing your phone in and suddenly closing it. Just a few days ago, we learned that Apple may be less than a year away from releasing its first collapsible phone. Apple has won a patent for a three-part folded iPhone and another for heating a flexible display, making it less brittle when used in cold environments.
