Apple is expected to release four new iPhones this year, including two models called the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. While some features will be consistent on all models, such as 5G support and OLED displays, others are expected to be used only in Pro phones.
These features may include a three-lens camera similar to the iPad Pro and a novel design. It’s not uncommon for Apple to release multiple versions of its latest iPhone. But this year’s rumored iPhone 12 is expected to have four different versions than Apple will launch two or three versions of its latest smartphone.
Two of these models are expected to be successors to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. If you can believe the reports and rumors so far, Apple’s next “Pro” iPhone will feature a three-lens camera like last year’s model, a lidar scanner like the new iPad Pro, and an updated design.
All of Apple’s new iPhones, including non-Pro models, are expected to support 5G networks and OLED screens instead of LCD displays. OLED screens are usually only found on Apple’s more expensive iPhones and usually provide deeper black and better contrast.
Apple’s next-generation mobile processor, which is expected to be called the A14 Bionic, could also appear throughout the product line. Apple is expected to launch its new smartphone in the fall, although some models may be more popular than usual due to the economic impact of the coronavirus.
According to the latest rumors and reports, here’s what’s going on with the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
